1. Write Down 10 Ideas Every Day: Creative, out of the box thinking comes more naturally to some than others but, at the same time, you need to stay in practice or you won’t be as good. If your job requires any kind of creative thinking or problem solving capabilities you should start writing 10 ideas down every day. No, these don’t have to be brilliant or even relevant to what you’re currently working on but staying in the practice of writing down ideas leads you to swimming in a pool of great ideas, some of which you can use to improve your career!

2. Read for 30 Minutes A Day: If all you read are tweets and the occasional Buzzfeed article you’re probably not reading as often as you should. Reading sparks inspiration and helps you learn things you’d never know about otherwise. If you read just 30 minutes every day you’ll average about two books per month. It may seem daunting at first but, eventually, this habit will become like second nature!

3. Stop Pressing Snooze: So you set the alarm with good intentions, wanting to wake up at a certain time, and then that snooze button wins you over time and time again. Starting your day off on the right foot is essential for your success and, if the first thing you do in the morning is break a promise to yourself about when you’re waking up, as small as it might seem, you’re starting off the wrong way. Wake up when you say you’re going to wake up and stop pressing snooze!

4. Walk and Reflect: A little reflection combined with a walk is good for the body, mind, and the future of your career. Making time every day to take a short walk—even one as short as 10 minutes—could really kelp you get in the right mindset. Take a small portion of your lunch break, a short one in the morning, or one right after dinner to help improve your career!
