Our client is seeking an Elasticsearch Engineer for a 4 week contract with expertise in Elasticsearch 2. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transitioning their current search system to the latest version. Before making the leap to version 8, they aim to thoroughly understand the system’s functionality and ensure feature parity between the two versions.

On the coding side, you’ll collaborate with the team to make necessary tweaks in their Ruby on Rails code to ensure compatibility with Elasticsearch. Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is highly desirable, and prior experience with Git is essential. You should also be comfortable working on a Mac environment.

This contract position spans 4 weeks, with the potential for further work based on your performance and fit with the team.
